A member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Teejay Yusuf has condemned the purported move by the leadership of the green chambers to punish the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) house caucus, Honourable Kingsley Chinda
Recent media reports suggest the house is making a move to suspend Chinda over his call for President Muhammadu Buhari to be impeached.
In a statement issued by Hon Yusuf and seen by Legit.ng, the PDP lawmaker representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu said the motion by the majority leader of the house, Ado Doguwa is anti-democratic.

His words:
“People who are supposed to be knowledgeable should be adding value to robust democratic processes and practice.
“But for someone who has been around the House of Representatives since 1991 to denigrate or belittle such, Is very anti-democratic, highly disappointing, prankish and embarrassing to us all.”
Dismissing Hon Doguwa's threat to mobilise for sanctions against Chinda, Yusuf stated that such wishful thinking antagonizes the rising concern of Nigeria citizens.
According to Hon Yusuf, rather than President Buhari, some All Progressives Congress (APC) bigwigs' nasty sycophancy is one of Nigeria's biggest silent problems.
Meanwhile, the ex-speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has been dragged to court for decamping from the PDP to the APC.
The PDP and its Bauchi state chairman, Hamza Koshe Akuyam, listed as plaintiffs in the suit, are of the opinion that Dogara has no claims to his seat anymore for dumping the party that sponsored him to the ninth National Assembly before the expiration of his tenure.
In another development, the House of Representatives on Wednesday, December 16, rejected a bill that set age limits for the top public positions in the country.
The bill was sponsored by a PDP lawmaker from Imo state, Bede Eke.
