Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has landed another remarkable achievement in his professional career after scoring for the Catalans against Valencia in League game.

The Argentina international is now the second player on earth to score 450+ goals in the top five Leagues in Europe and Lionel Messi is behind Cristiano Ronaldo who has 459 goals.

Lionel Messi is no doubt one of the best forwards in the world considering his massive achievements since he broke into Barcelona's first team in 2004.

He has won six Ballon d'Or awards so far in his career and one more than his rival Cristiano Ronaldo who has five in his cupboard.

The 33-year-old has now scored 643 goals for Barcelona in all competitions and thereby equaling the record of Brazilian football legend Pele.

Pele was arguably the best striker during his time considering his brilliant performances for Santos where he spent most of his football career.

The 80-year-old won three World Cup titles with Brazil in the year 1958, 1962 and 1970 before he retired from the round leather game.

Lionel Messi has not won the FIFA World Cup with Argentina as they crashed out of the 2018 edition in Russia after losing against France.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi and his teammates at Barcelona are currently occupying fifth position on the Spanish La Liga table with 21 points after 13 games.
