- Jose Mourinho blames Tottenham's 2-0 defeat to Leicester City
- Alderweireld's own goal and Vardy's spot-kick sealed the win for the Foxes
- The North Londoners have now slipped to fifth on the Premier League table
Tottenham Hotspur suffered third Premier League defeat of the season following their 2-0 loss to Leicester City in their own stadium.
A goal from Jamie Vardy and an own goal from Toby Alderweireld powered Brendan Rodgers men to victory away from home.
The North Londoners have now slipped to fifth on the table with 25 points after 14 games - putting their title chase under serious problem.
However, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has now blamed his side's loss on poor performance after admitting that he is frustrated.
He also added that they started the game on a flat foot while stylishly underplaying the two goals that gave his opponent the victory. He was quoted by Daily Mail saying:
"I'm frustrated, but I think it’s a strange game to describe.
"It's a game where we lose with a penalty and an own goal. It's a game where your goalkeeper doesn't make one single save, but at the same time, we didn't play very well.
"We didn't start well at all but then in our best period in the first half is when we conceded and in the second half an own goal.
"In spite of that, the team tried and created chances. I don't think it was a game that both teams played very, very well."
Mourinho added that his boys lost the game after Serge Aurier tackled Fofana roughly into the later part of the game.

"We had the best chances in the first half before the penalty and they scored when it's not even a dangerous situation,' Mourinho continued.
"He was running away from our goal and in games between teams of a similar level, this is the difference. I'm not going to crucify my player.
"I assess that we deserved to win the game at Liverpool and it would have made the week an amazing week because we'd have done something nobody has done in a long time (winning in the league at Anfield). The team was phenomenal against Liverpool."
The Foxes have now leapfrogged Tottenham into second and move four points between league leaders Liverpool.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Tottenham vs Leicester city ended 2-0 in favour of the Foxes as Spurs lose grip on the Premier League table.
Jamie Vardy continued his good scoring form as he got the first while the Englishman forced Toby Alderweireld into an own goal.
It was a lovely end-to-end stuff as both sides created chances from the blast of the whistle but they could not convert.
But in the fourth minute of injury time of the first half, Serge Aurier fouled James Justin in the box as the referee had to take a second look at it on the VAR before awarding the penalty.
