Zinedine Zidane who is the gaffer of Spanish champions Real Madrid has hailed French striker Karim Benzema for his superb performances so far for Los Blancos this season in the League.

Karim Benzema is no doubt one of the best strikers in the world considering his achievements in football, most especially while playing for Real Madrid.

This season has been a glorious one for Karim Benzema in the Spanish League and he has been receiving praises from fans for his incredible games.

Real Madrid are currently occupying second position on the Spanish La Liga table with 29 points after 14 games and they are tied with leaders Atletico Madrid.

Following their win over Eibar in which Karim Benzema scored, Zinedine Zidane was asked to talk about the Frenchman and he gave him big accolades.

Karim Benzema scored one goal and made two assists in the encounter which made Zinedine Zidane happy and rates him as the best striker in the world.

According to the report on Tuttosport, Zidane was asked to compare Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo in which the Frenchman aimed a dig at the Portuguese.

"Karim is crucial because what he does he is doing in a phenomenal way and not only in terms of goals scored.
''I repeat what I always say about Karim, it's not just goals. He also plays a lot and allows us to express ourselves.
''With quality. He is a very important player. When he scores even better. He is a very important player for our team.''

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema proved to be more important to Zinedine Zidane's second spell than Cristiano Ronaldo for the French manager during his first time in charge.

The 35-year-old rose to become Los Blancos highest goals scorers with 450 goals in 438 appearances across competitions.

He also inspired the Galacticos to four Champions League triumphs during his nine-year reign at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Benzema has scored 10 goals and three assists in 16 appearances across competitions this campaign.
