The Lagos state safety commission on Saturday night, December 19, sealed off CUBANA nigh club owned by Obinna Iyiegbu for its failure to comply with the government’s COVID-19 protocols.
The club was not the only business that came under the government’s hammer, other facilities in Ikeja were also shut.
A video sighted online shows how policemen were ordering people to leave the premises with immediate effect.
Fun seekers were seen trooping out in their large numbers into the cold night of the state's capital as murmurs of disappointment rent the air.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has warned Lagos residents to comply with COVID-19 protocols, noting that the state, Nigeria's economic nerve centre, cannot afford another lockdown.
The Lagos state governor made this known in a statement seen by Legit.ng on Friday, December 18.
Governor Sanwo-Olu's statement follows the spike in the cases of COVID-19 cases in Lagos and other states in Nigeria.
