Liverpool continued their impressive form in the Premier League as they comfortably defeated Crystal Palace by 7-0 away at Selhurst Park.

Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah scored a brace each as Takumi Minamino, Sadio Mane, and Jordan Henderson were also on the scoresheet.

The Reds started the game brightly and as early as the third minute they went ahead through Minamino who applied an instinctive finish from a Mane's assist.

Mane got the second through Mane after turning away from his marker to score Liverpool's second. 2-0 it was.

Just before half-time Firmino got the third following a fine counter-attacking move as he controlled a cross from Andy Robertson and finished with ease to make it 3-0.

Firmino completed his brace after he was helped with a pass from substitute Salah with as he delivered a delightful chip above Palace keeper Vicente Guaita to make it 5-0.

Joel Matip's headed assist helped Salah head home the sixth while a brilliant individual effort from the Egyptian striker made it 7-0.

Liverpool cemented their place at the top of the log with 31 points from 14 matches and have an 11 goal difference despite suffering a 7-2 defeat at Aston Villa earlier in the season.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Jurgen Klopp scooped the Best Men's coach for the second time at the FIFA TheBest awards held in Zurich, Switzerland.

The Liverpool boss beat Leeds United's Marcelo Bielsa and Bayern Munich's Hans-Dieter Flick to win the award for the second year running.
