Diego Maradona's former lover Laura Cibilla has sensationally claimed the footballer's DNA was falsified during her legal battle for the paternity of her teenage son, Daily Star.
The former nightclub waitress spoke out for the first time ever of her love affair with the legendary Argentine footballer.
The single mother insisted that she had no plans to revive her court fight over her paternity claim, telling an Argentinian news website:
“It’s too late now.
“My son is 17 and all this is over for me.
“It’s not something I’m interested in or my son is interested in. And the only thing that concerns me is what my boy thinks.”
The pretty brunette was asked if she thought Maradona’s DNA had been falsified when she launched and lost her paternity lawsuit ten years ago, she added:
“Yes, but it’s done now.”
Laura claimed she and Maradona lived together for two years after their nightclub meeting in 1998 before she clocked 21.
And was hospitalized after taking hard substance with him and suffering the effects of his loose lifestyle.
She said that she got pregnant while she was in Cuba to battle his drug addiction, but kept it a secret from Maradona and moved to Spain before returning to Argentina to give birth.
“Diego found out and came looking for me.
“We were together until my son was nearly two. My son was born on January 21 2003 and Diego appeared in March.

“I never slept with anyone else apart from Diego in the run-up to my pregnancy.”
She also confirmed that Maradona paid for her son’s private health care for the first two years of his life and gave her money.
Laura added that before Diego's death she tried to reach him via a message on phone but he changed his profile picture.
She said that Maradona insisted he wanted to see his son once only to remember him and it was agreed before his demise.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that former Argentina manager Alejandro Sabella who led Argentina to the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil has died at the age of 66 and Lionel Messi has paid tribute to him.
Argentina lost the finals of the competition to eventual winners Germany after a goal from Mario Gotze's goal separated both sides at extra time.
