The abducted students from a government school in Kankara, Katsina state are reportedly being taken to the hospital for medical examination.
According to Channels TV, the medical checkup was scheduled after Governor Aminu Masari assured them of proper care before handing them over to their parents.
The freed children have narrated their ordeals in captivity just hours after they arrived at government house in Katsina on Friday, December 18.
One of the students who spoke with Channels TV claimed that they were fed only once in two days, lamenting that he feels sick.
Another boy told journalists that they were forced to sleep, eat, and defecate in the same place throughout their captivity.
Meanwhile, a presidential media aide, Bashir Ahmad, has declared that some Nigerians are upset over the release of hundreds of schoolboys abducted from Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina state.
Ahmad who is the personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on new media, made the comment in a tweet on Thursday, December 17, hours after the boys were released.
Ahmad also lambasted the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, describing him as a terrible liar for claiming responsibility for the abduction of the students.
In a related report, President Buhari has spoken about the efforts that went into the rescue of the kidnapped students of the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina state.
The Nigerian leader disclosed that Governor Aminu Bello Masari and the Nigerian Amy worked extremely hard to get the students back safely.
According to a statement issued by Garba Shehu, a presidential aide on Thursday, December 17, Buhari described the return of the boys as a big relief to their families and the entire country.
