The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari as he turns 78 on Thursday, December 17. gathered that Tinubu in a congratulatory message described the Nigerian leader as a true patriot who wants the best for Nigeria.

The former Lagos state governor who stated this in a series of tweets shared on his Twitter page on Thursday noted that the president was determined to find a lasting solution to the challenges facing the county.

He also maintained that Buhari was optimistic about moving the country forward.

The APC leader thanked God for Buhari's life and the grace for the president to witness another birthday.

While praying for Allah to bless the efforts of Buhari in seeking the best for Nigeria, Tinubu noted that the country shall overcome and stand as a prosperous and peaceful nation.

In a similar news report, Femi Adesina, a special adviser to President Buhari, has showered a flurry of encomium on his principal as he marks his 78th birthday anniversary.

In a piece released by the president's media adviser on Thursday, December 17, titled "Buhari at 78: If only we knew this president", Adesina described him as "the ramrod straight man from Daura."

Adesina said since the president took over the helms of affairs in 2015, so many people "have chosen to believe the wrong things" about him and have "ossified their minds against the truth."

Meanwhile, reported that an explanation has been given as to why Buhari was unable to form his cabinet immediately after he won the 2015 presidential election at the beginning of his first administration.

The revelation was given by the president's senior special assistant on media and publicity, Garba Shehu, on Thursday, December 17, in a tribute to honour him on his 78th birthday.

Shehu explained that after being declared as the winner of the election at the time, the president had to conduct meetings for heads of ministries, departments and agencies and this took about half a year to accomplish.
