Nigerian plane crash survivor, Kechi Okwuchi, recently took to social media to share a little victory of hers with fans. The young lady was very elated that she could finally wear earrings again.
Kechi who survived the Sosoliso plane crash in 2005 lost her earlobes as a result of the accident and had been unable to wear earrings ever since.
However, luck shone on her when she received a new pair from her mom and tried her best to make it stay on her ear and was delighted when it did.
The young lady admitted that the two things she had missed doing since the crash was wearing earrings and braiding her hair.
Kechi explained how she cried when she was finally able to wear earrings. She was touched that her mother was still finding ways for her to wear earrings because she knew it would make her happy.
In her words:
"Sometime late last year, mommy came into my room all excited about a package that had finally arrived-little gold hoops that gently hook around the ear. We tried many things with no success cos I don’t have ear lobes so if this worked, it would be a big deal.
Bruh. We put them on me and they stayed on like what?! Then we found out we could hook longer earrings unto them too!! I couldn’t believe it.
Mommy doesn’t know this but I cried that day after she left my room. She didn’t tell me she was still looking for a way for me to wear earrings. She just knew it’d make me happy."
She shared the story online. See her post below:
