Frank Leboeuf who won two FA Cup titles with Premier League side Chelsea has slammed the performances of Kai Havertz so far at Stamford Bridge this season.
The Blues labored very hard to beat competition from other clubs in Europe for them to get the signing of Kai Havertz from German giants Bayern Leverkusen.
Kai Havertz signed a five-year deal with Chelsea and was among the big players who arrived at Stamford Bridge before the start of the ongoing League season in England.
So far, the Germany international has played 17 games for Chelsea in all competitions and has managed to score four goals for the Blues this term.
According to the report on GOAL, his performances so far have not convinced Chelsea legend Frank Leboeuf who failed to rate him high.
"Almost invisible. I touched on the point some weeks ago. We heard Frank Lampard say, 'no, we need to give him time'.
"But I don’t know, it’s something that I don’t like, the way sometimes it feels like he’s not there, that he’s not trying to compensate for a lack of confidence with a desire or just being a warrior, showing us that, 'okay, I’m not good at the moment, but I’m going to fight for the club and not be invisible.''
Frank Leboeuf joined Chelsea in 1996, and was with the Blues until the year 2001 playing 144 games with 17 goals for the Premier League side.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Premier League giants Chelsea will be having tough fixtures in the month of February 2021 as they will be playing six tough games in which four of these ties are away.
Frank Lampard and his wards have been superb this season in the Premier League and also the Champions League where they will face Atletico Madrid in the round of 16.
The Stamford Bridge landlords will be facing the likes of Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham.
Chelsea will start their February with an away Premier League encounter against Tottenham on February 3 and they will still face Sheffield United away from home three days later.
