Jose Mourinho: Tottenham boss claims Manchester United should have given him more time

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has stated that Manchester United should have handed him more time during his spell in charge at the Old Trafford club.
Spurs boss Mourinho believes he was not given enough time to turn things around for the Red Devils as he had a massive project to return the club to its glory days.
The Special One recently celebrated one year in charge of Tottenham having taken over from Mauricio Pochettino and has started on a bright note in the 2020-2021 campaign.
His side currently tops the Premier League standings on goals difference with Liverpool - and these two sides face-off on Wednesday, December 16 in a top of the table clash.
The Portuguese tactician joined Spurs after 11 months he was fired at Manchester United, having spent two and a half years with the club.

According to him, Manchester United was a long term project, but his idea was cut short prematurely by the club’s board. He said, as cited in GOAL:
"In a certain period of my career, with a profile of club I was getting in hands, we didn’t need as much time to reach success.
"We did it at Porto, Inter, Real [Madrid], Chelsea, both times, we did it without that need of that longevity and also my desire to try different things and my crazy desire to go to many countries, and to try to win it, and try to get different experiences in many different countries, was perfect because was about winning, and good bye, and let’s try another thing.
"The first club where I felt I need time and time was not given was at Manchester United, because I felt that I left at the middle of the process, but I learn very early to respect decisions, which I did at United."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that West Bromwich Albion manager Slaven Bilic is expected to be fired any moment from now despite him guiding the Baggies to a 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Tuesday night, December 15.
It was gathered that the 52-year-old could be sacked with former Bolton Wanderers’ boss Sam Allardyce among potential managers to take up the plum job.
West Brom have only managed to win just one game in their last thirteen league matches and they are just two points away from the relegation zone.
