Humanitarian calls out woman renting babies to beg for money, shares video

Humanitarian, Yolanda George-David, recently took to social media to warn people against giving money to women with babies who roam the streets.

Yolanda in a recent Instagram post, shared a video of a woman whom she claimed was using a rented baby to beg for money shortly after she (Yolanda) had taken the woman's kids for rehabilitation.

In the video, the woman is seen walking down the street with a baby. Yolanda in her caption advised people to stop giving money to women with children as the kids were being used as tools to beg.

She wrote:

"Some people have sworn to be very unproductive and outright Lazy...@uchennaji see She now rents a baby to beg on the street... because we took her kids in to rehabilitate. This just happened at 9:26pm... Please please please please please can you guys stop giving women with Babies money...it is worse than the global pandemic... I am begging you... no child should be used as a tool to beg alms."

According to her, though she is not a Nigerian, as long as she remains in the country, she will continue getting these kids off the streets.

Meanwhile, a month ago, Big Brother Naija star, Khafi Kareem, caused a buzz on social media after she shared a video which captured the moment a child beggar stopped by her car window to beg.
