Speaking on her songwriting process, the singer disclosed that she is mostly a freestyle artiste and does not exactly sit down to write songs.

Layydoe said she gets inspirations for her songs in patois and proceeds to record in the studio. She, however, added that after recording, she takes time to write out the lyrics so that it can be available whenever people request for it.

Also speaking about the reason for her kind of dancehall music, Layydoe made it clear that her style has nothing to do with the fact that colleague Cynthia Morgan isn’t as active anymore in that particular genre.

According to her, she started music professionally way back in 2008 even before she got to know about Morgan.
