Singer Omah Lay and Tems charged to court in Uganda, to remain in custody, see photos

It appears the situation with Nigerian musicians Omah Lay and Tems has taken a turn for the worse following a new set of tweets shared by the former on his social media page.
The Nigerian singer recently took to his official page on Twitter saying that he and female singer Tems have been placed in handcuffs.

Omah noted that he is just a singer trying to entertain people in Uganda and wondered why he is being set up.
The singer went on to add that the show was never organised by him. Omah said he simply performed fans.
“I didn’t organize a show, I came on stage and saw teeming fans and sang to them...”

In a different post, the singer claimed that the Ugandan authorities are stopping the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from stepping into the situation.
The young musician asked if there is something going on in Uganda and he has been set up to take the fall for it.

Meanwhile, in a different tweet sighted on the official Twitter page of the Ugandan Police Force, it was announced that the Nigerian singers have been charged to court for negligently getting involved in acts that could spread infectious diseases.
It was disclosed that plans to have them released have been suspended. They are to remain in custody until Wednesday, December 16.
"The earlier plans of releasing them on police bond, were suspended after their casefile was sanctioned by the Office of the DPP. They were jointly charged with four other Ugandans. All remanded till Wednesday 16.12.2020."

Earlier on, Legit.ng reported that the singer confirmed his arrests to his concerned fans and followers on Twitter.
The music star assured them that everything would turn out fine. Omah also noted that the almighty is going comfort him in the trying period.
