Manchester United on Saturday night, December 12, failed to score any goal in front of their faithfuls as they were forced to a goalless draw by Manchester City in tough EPL battle.

Ole Solskjaer who is Manchester United coach went into this duel with serious pressure having crashed out of the Champions League after losing against Leipzig.

Manchester City started this encounter on a brighter note with Kevin De Bruyne making several dangerous runs the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

The Belgian delivered a great pass for Rodri in the fourth minute and the youngster fired a shot immediately which was saved by David De Gea.

Bruno Fernandes almost scored against his own team in the 7th minute when he tried to clear a dangerous cross by Kevin De Bruyne.

The first half however ended with both teams finding it difficult to find the back of the net.

Paul Pogba tried to put his team ahead in the 47th minute after getting a good pass from Fred, but his shot was parried away by goalkeeper Ederson Moraes.

The Manchester derby eventually ended in a draw at Old Trafford putting Ole Solskjaer under more pressure.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani explained that he had to turn down big move to reigning Italian champions Juventus and Inter Milan for him to join Manchester United in the EPL.

Following the expiration of his contract at Paris-Saint-Germain, Edinson Cavani completed a move to Manchester United on the deadline day and he has been superb for the Red Devils.

Before leaving France, Edinson Cavani spent seven years at Paris-Saint-Germain playing 301 games and scored 200 goals.

According to the report, Edinson Cavani explained that he rejected a move to Juventus or Inter Milan because of his love for Napoli.

“I will always be grateful to them [Napoli fans]. It is for this reason that I said no to many Italian clubs including Juventus, who called me often, and also Inter.''

He scored 104 goals in 138 games for Napoli after joining from rival Serie A club Palermo in 2010.
