Tottenham Hotspur cruised to a 2-0 victory over Royal Antwerp in their Europa League final Group J fixture at the White Hart Lane on Thursday, December 10.

A goal each from Vinicius and Giovani Lo Celso were all Jose Mourinho's men needed to stretch their unbeaten run across competitions to nine games.

The North Londoners also finished atop of their group with 13 points after six games with Antwerp second on the table with 12 points.

However, they could not keep a clean sheet beyond the 57th minute with Vinicius breaking the deadlock for the home team.

The 25-year-old tapped in from close-range after Gareth Bale's stunning freekick from about 30 yards out hit the post and dropped in front of the Brazilian who opened the scoring for them.

Lo Celso doubled his side's lead in the 71st minute after connecting with a precise pass from Harry Kane.

The England international made a run towards the 18-yard box before setting his teammate up who placed the ball into the bottom left corner of the post to hand the hosts maximum points.

In the end, Mourinho's men finished as the group leader ahead of the rounds of 32 draws.

Legit.ng earlier reported that a goal each from Ferran Torres, Sergio Aguero, and Raheem Sterling in the second half were all Manchester City needed to dispatch Marseille in their last Group C encounter at the Etihad Stadium.

The visitors proved the quality they were made of in the opening half as they were able to keep their hosts away from finding the back of the net.

However, they couldn't maintain their decency at the back beyond the early minutes of the second half as Torres powered home from close-range after connecting with Riyad Mahrez's pass from the right flank.
