A lot has happened this year but it definitely did not stop one of the music industry’s most prestigious award show from going down. The 2020 edition of the MOBO Awards took place on Wednesday, December 9, in a virtual ceremony attended by people from different parts of the world.
The virtual event was hosted by Maya Jama and Chunkz with support from guest presenters like Leomie Andeson, Jourdan Dunn and Neelam Gill. The show also witnessed a lot of interesting performances from H.E.R, Ms Banks and Nigeria’s own Tiwa Savage.

Unfortunately, like every award show, only a few people emerged as overall winners of their nominated category.
Interestingly, Nigerian superstars, Burna Boy and Wizkid did the country proud as they both emerged as Best International Act and Best African Act respectively.
