In what many Nigerians have described as an embarrassment, APC governors have urged President Muhammadu Buhari not to address members of the National Assembly.
The lawmakers had summoned the president to address the lawmakers on the degenerating security situation across the country.
According to Premium Times, the lawmaker may want to use the opportunity to harass and embarrass the president.

In fact, the governors claimed they have intelligence report to the effect that PDP members in the National Assembly are actually planning to insult Buhari.
The governors were led to the meeting by their chairman, who doubles as the governor of Kebbi state, Atiku Bagudu.
Senate President Ahmad Lawan and the speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila were also in attendance.
Meanwhile, some APC lawmakers present at the meeting countered the governors, insisting that the president should address the National Assembly members.
Meanwhile, Nigerians on social media have accused the governors of not prioritising the interests of Nigerians.
Abu Mufeedah wrote:
"It's always about them not the lives and wellbeing of the masses. You don't want to be embarrassed in this transient world but people are being killed and families pushed to mourning and agony consistently. Shame on you."
Ikenna Nwanze added:
"See how Nigerians are being taken for a ride? So APC governors can now overrule the National Assembly? They are fighting to protect the man behind the mask from being exposed, yet the majority can't see the handwriting on the wall. What a country!"
Recall that Legit.ng had reported that in efforts to tackle the rising spate of criminality and insecurity in the country, Buhari called on all governors in the federation to partner local communities.
The president said it is necessary for the governors to work more with traditional rulers and community members.
According to Buhari, in a statement released by his aide on media, Garba Shehu, this will help improve local intelligence gathering. He said most importantly, this will aid the work of security agencies in tackling the insecurity menace.
