Harry Kane inspired Tottenham Hotspur to a 2-0 victory over Arsenal in their North London derby over the weekend.

A goal each from the England international and Heung-min Son were all Spurs needed to outshine their city rivals in a tough Premier League encounter.

The victory saw Jose Mourinho's men return to the summit of the EPL table with 24 points from 11 games - same as defending champions, Liverpool.

His goal against the Gunners saw his tally rise to 250 for club and country in just 420 appearances in all competitions.

This means that the 27-year-old attacker reached the figure with lesser games faster than a couple of big names.

According to Caught Offside, only Lionel Messi achieved the feat (250 goals) after just 379 matches for Barcelona and Argentina.

Alan Shearer needed 477 games, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Aguero played 510 matches to record the number of goals.

Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney actions 562 times to score 250 goals for clubs and country according to stats released by Optus Sports.

Kane has scored 14 goals and 10 assists in 16 matches for Spurs this campaign and if he could continue this way, he will definitely break more records this season
