Chelsea come from one goal down to beat Leeds United 3-1 in a tough Premier League encounter at Stamford Bridge.

The visitors got the game off to a bright star after finding the back of the net just four minutes into the match.

Patrick Bamford outran two Blues defenders before dribbling past Edouard Mendy and then send the ball straight into an empty goal post.

However, the guests could not hold on to their lead beyond the 27th minute as Olivier Giroud cancelled out Bamford's early strike.

The Frenchman tapped into the net from close range after connecting with a low cross from Reece James.

His goal made the oldest player to ever score in six consecutive Premier League starts at the age of 34 years and 66 days.

Meanwhile Frank Lampard's men continued their attacking style of play as Kurt Zouma handed them the lead for the first time in the game just one minute after the hour mark.

The defender made a tall jump to connect with Mason Mount's corner kick and Illan Meslier was unable to stop the ball from crossing the line.

Christian Pulisic wrapped up the victory for the Blues in the 93rd minute after scoring from the six-yard box.

The forward converted Timo Werner's superb cross from the right flank after making a counter-attacking move towards the end of the game.

Lampard's men will now occupy the summit of the log temporarily until Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool play on Sunday, December 6.

The outcome of their games will determine if Chelsea will remain in that position until the next matchday next weekend.

Legit.ng earlier reported that two first-half goals from Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne were all Manchester City needed to defeat Fulham 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

The victory sees the Citizens move three points behind league leaders Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool pending their league games this weekend.

Pep Guardiola's men returned to winning ways following their 0-0 draw with FC Porto during midweek's Champions League encounter in Portugal.
