Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr had to settle for a draw in their first-ever fight after coming out of retirement.

The former heavyweight champions treated their fans to some nostalgia in an eighth-round exhibition fight at the Staples Centre over the weekend.

Obviously, both of them could not give their best in the rings due to their advanced ages but still showed some flashes of their qualities.

Daily Star reveals the scorecards of the judges with Christy Martin giving Tyson 79-73, while Vinny Pazienza declared Jones Jr winner with 80-76 points.

Chad Dawson settled the fight by awarding the boxers a 76-76 draw which ensured no one emerged victorious at the end of the eighth-round fight.

Meanwhile, Tyson was able to floor his opponent in the fifth round following a powerful punch but he was able to continue till the end.

But some quarters believe the scores announced by the officials were not correct as they claim Tyson had an edge over Jones Jr when it came to fist-to-fist encounters.

The 54-year-old land managed to outland Jones throughout the bout, making 67 connecting punches to 37 as well as making 35 body shots to four.

He bossed most part of the first seven rounds but the last round ended in a draw

The former heavyweight champion managed to do this in seven of the eight rounds, with the outstanding two minutes being a draw.

And Iron Mike managed to achieve this while making 43 fewer punches than the 51-year-old.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Mike Tyson's return to the boxing rings for the first time in one and a half decades ended in a stalemate with former heavyweight champion Roy Jones Jr.

The duo met in an eight-round exhibition fight this weekend and it was a no victor, no vanquish situation at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

Reports from the fight claimed the former two-time heavyweight champion was unlucky not to have been crowned winner in the end.
