Breaking: Police arrest three over attack of Wike’s father’s church

Hours after the attack on the Christian Universal Church International belonging to the father of Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike, police have confirmed the arrest of three persons in connection with the incident.
The Nation reports that the state police public relations officer, Nnamdi Omoni, said the suspects were helping in investigations.
Legit.ng gathered that the church had been swept by the bomb department of the Nigeria police.

He said:
“I can confirm the attack on the Church and three suspects arrested in connection with the attack. They are helping us in our Investigation. The Church has been swept by the bomb department."
It was reported that the hoodlums numbering about five sneaked into the church on the night of Saturday, November 28, and detonated the explosives suspected to be dynamite.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that an explosion has rocked a church belonging to the father of Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
It was reported that the hoodlums numbering about five sneaked into the Christian Universal Church International on 25 Azikiwe street Mile, 3 Diobu, on the night of Saturday, November 28, and detonated the explosives suspected to be dynamite.
The report also noted that a significant part of the church was damaged by the explosion, which created panic in the area.
In another report, some unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits kidnapped three people in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The FCT police command revealed that police operatives thwarted the attempted abduction of 19 persons, but three people were unfortunate to have been taken away by the gunmen.
The incident occurred at the popular Pei-leilei road along Kwali axis in the Nigerian capital. The force informed Nigerians that efforts are underway to rescue the three victims in the custody of the gunmen.
