- Eden Hazard limped off in Real Madrid's defeat to Deportivo Alaves
- The 29-year-old winger could not stay beyond 30 minutes
- Zinedine Zidane is hoping the Belgian did not suffer a major injury in the process
Real Madrid woes were compounded after superstar Eden Hazard limped off in their 2-1 defeat to Deportivo Alaves at the Santiago Bernabeu earlier this weekend.
The Belgian only lasted 28 minutes after which he was replaced by Rodrygo but the extent of his setback has not been communicated to the media.
This will definitely upset Zinedine Zidane's plans as their Spanish League title defence is already shaky as they sit fourth on the table with six points behind current table-toppers Real Sociedad.
Though the French manager is hoping his winger will not stay out for long as they are still unsure of their chances to progress from their Champions League group stage.
Real got the game started on a shaky note after conceding their first goal via a Lucas Perez's spot-kick in the fifth minute.
Joselu then doubled the visitors' lead just four minutes after resuming the second half through a superb striker.
However, Casemiro ensured they did not end the match without finding the back of the net with his 86th-minute goal.
Meanwhile, Zidane said during his post-match conference that the injury was minor as quoted by Goal.
"I think and hope it's just a knock. "I hope it's not muscular."
Hazard's reign at the Bernabeu has been heavily marred by a series of injuries and he could be out for some time.
He was making his third Spanish League appearances this campaign but he could finish the opening half of the game.

Legit.ng earlier reported that La Liga champions Real Madrid suffered a defeat at home on Saturday night, November 28, against visiting Deportivo Alaves who beat them 2-1.
Los Blancos went into this encounter with the hope of getting a win so as to move up on the table, but they were unable to get the required points needed.
The visitors scored their first goal in the 5th minute through Lucas Perez after Nacho Fernandez handled the ball in the 18-yard box which made the referee give a penalty and double their lead in the 49th minute via Joselu.
