The Democratic Coalition of Nigeria (DCN) on Monday, November 30, alleged that some members of the opposition have continually initiated moves to undermine the sovereignty of Nigeria through the sponsorship of violence across the country.
The group, in a statement seen by Legit.ng said that the wave of violence across the country is the handiwork of those that are hell-bent on truncating democracy in Nigeria.
Signed by Kolade Christopher, the publicity secretary of the group, the statement said their actions are in fulfillment of their desire to discredit the present administration in spite of its great plans and policies towards translating the hopes and aspirations of Nigerians into tangible realities.
Christopher called on the government to do everything humanly possible to bring the perpetrators of violence in the country to book for their nefarious activities.
He pointed out that no individual or group of persons is bigger than Nigeria and should be allowed such liberty.

He also warned the public that the determination of these elements is now pronounced after the failure of the #EndSARS protest to disintegrate Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a democratic group had commended the move by the government of the United Kingdom to intervene in the #EndSARS protests and Lekki toll gate shooting.
The group, National Democratic Front said intervention by the UK parliament on the matter is a confirmation of the progress made by the Nigerian army under the chief of army staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai.
The group also said that the intervention strategy shows that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is on track in curbing criminality in the country.
Also, another group, the Coalition of Northern Patriots (CNP) had carried out an extensive appraisal of the security situation across the 19 northern states in Nigeria.
