Ahead of the Citizens Premier League clash with Burnley at the weekend, Guardiola admitted that Aguero may not have reached full fitness despite making an appearance against Olympiacos

Guardiola said:

"The Champions League clash with Olympiacos was hard. It's difficult for me to talk about Aguero's feelings.
"Especially for his son, it's tough. He knew Maradona well and his son, it's his grandfather. It's a sad situation for his family, but he's OK."

Maradona witnessed the birth of his first grandson in 2009 before Aguero got separated from Gianna in 2012.

Aguero is currently recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered back in October before making his Champions League appearance against Olympiacos.

The 30-year-old made a post on social media when he heard of the death of Maradona with a picture of the legendary midfielder holding the 1986 World Cup.

Aguero said on his Twitter post:

"We wil never forget you. You will always be with us. #GraciasDiego RIP."
