Well, days after the arrival of the prince, the monarch alongside his chiefs, friends and family, and the people of Ile-Ife all came out in their numbers to witness the naming ceremony of the new child.
In a video sighted on Facebook by Legit.ng, the monarch was seen taking his position with other members of the council as traditional chiefs carried on with the business of the day.
A portion of the video captioned the moment a high chief addressed everyone present and announced the name of the prince as Adesoji Aderemi.
Shortly after the name was announced, people present made their way down to the monarch’s palace where the proper merriment went down.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that some palace sources revealed that the Ooni of Ife must not be allowed to set eyes on his newborn son or wife anytime soon.
According to them, this is because of a longstanding tradition that says the monarch can only meet his child after the boy’s natural hair has been caught off which could be in about six months time.
