Meanwhile, elders and major stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have insisted that it is the turn of the southeast to produce next president of Nigeria.

This was disclosed recently by former Nigerian Ambassador to Greece, Frank Ogbuewu, in a news conference in Abuja in reaction to the recent defection of Governor Dave Umahi to the APC.

In a related development, the Coalition of Northern Elders for Peace and Development has begun to drum support for Igbo presidency.

The northern elders insisted that the southeast zone should be next for Nigeria’s 2023 presidency and not any other geopolitical region.

As the conversation continues, Peter Obi has advised politicians to focus on improving the Nigerian economy instead of concentrating on their 2023 political aspirations.

Obi stated what is of importance now is the livelihoods of Nigerians, which he said had become dire due to the coronavirus pandemic and not political permutations.
