Diogo Jota was on target in Liverpool's 3-0 Premier League triumph over title Leicester City during the weekend.

The 23-year-old became an instant success since he joined the Reds from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a five year deal in the summer.

He has scored four goals in seven appearances for the Merseyside - with four other goals in the Champions League.

His stunning goal against the Foxes meant he is the first Liverpool star to score in his first four top-flight appearances at Anfield, as reported by Daily Mail.

Jonny Evans own goal and Roberto Firmino late strike earned Jurgen Klopp's men maximum points at Anfield.

The publication further revealed that Liverpool strung a club-record 30 passes together before Andy Robertson delivered a stunning cross that the former Wolves man headed home.

Jota's first three goals were recorded against Arsenal in September, followed by strikes against Sheffield United and West Ham to maintain his brilliant run of form at home.

His overall performance in the game earned him praises from Premier League legends Patrice Evra and Freddie Ljungberg. The former Man United star told Sky Sports:

"When you play with confidence, he knows Robertson will deliver it and he knows where the space was.

The former Arsenal player could not hide his excitement at the Jota's display as he said:

"I always liked him when he was at Wolves. Of course the top three they have is tremendous but you need other players and someone of that quality to fill in like today and do what he's doing is worth his weight in gold and that's how you win medals."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Jurgen Klopp has expressed fear over his squad following the injury superb midfielder Naby Keita sustained.

The 25-year-old Guinean footballer picked up an injury during Liverpool's emphatic Premier League win over big rivals Leicester City at Anfield.

Naby Keita has now joined the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Jordan Henderson, Joe Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Thiago Alcantara and Shaqiri on the injury list.
