Ronald Koeman has given his final word regarding Lionel Messi's future at Barcelona and the Dutch boss does not want to discuss the issue any longer.
The Barcelona talisman has been linked with a move to Premier League giants Man City ever since the Argentine declared his intention to leave Camp Nou.
Messi's contract will expire in the summer of 2021 and only City have been able to match his demands so far.
However, Koeman does not want to have anything to do with the news of the 33-year-old leaving La Blaugrana during his second spell as manager.
The former Netherlands was asked about Messi's future following Barca's shaky start to the new season in La Liga.
And renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano quoted Ronald Koeman saying:
‘Do you see Leo Messi leaving Barça?
“No, I don’t see him outside the club and I won't say anymore about this. I won't take any more questions on Leo’s future.”
Barcelona are currently in eighth position with 11 points on the league standings having played two games less.
But their form this season on the domestic scene is something to worry about with three wins, two draws, and losses.
Their Champions League form has been exceptional, winning all three matches with Juventus their closes rival in the group.
Barcelona will return to action after the international break as they host Atletico Madrid at which is regarded as the match of the week in the Spanish topflight division.
However, a potential reunion between Luis Suarez and his former club has been ruled after testing positive for coronavirus on international duty.
