- APC has declared that they can conduct voters registration
- According to the party, no court restrained them from registering new voters
- As a result of this, they urged the public to disregard contrary news
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has claimed that there is no court order stopping them from conducting new voters registration in Nigeria.
The APC was reacting to a purpoted court order in which the party was reported to have been restrained from conducting membership registration.
According to the ruling party, after a thorough investigation, they could not find truth in the news as records of court proceeding for the day the order was said to have been granted shows nothing of it.
They claimed that no such Court Order was granted by the Court because there was no application was made to the Court to warrant the granting of such Order.
The party said in a statement sighted by Legit.ng that the purported court order was erroneously reported.
They consequently urged members of the public to disregard it and go about their good work of repositioning the party.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported despite the insinuations that he defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to become Nigeria's president in 2023, Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state, has put the record straight.
The governor faulted the claims that he left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to achieve his ambition of becoming the president in 2023.
Legit.ng gathered that he told the press on Tuesday, November 17, in Abakaliki, the state capital that the insinuation that he joined the APC with such an intention was nothing but false.
Legit.ng had previously reported that the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT), former senator Walid Jubrin called for dialogue with the southeast over the agitations that the presidential ticket of the party should be allotted to the zone.
