Claudio Marchisio has pleaded with his former Juventus teammate Paul Pogba to leave Man United for a second spell with the Biaconeri.

The duo won four Serie titles and two Coppa Italia together with the Old Lady between 2012 and 2016 before Pogba made a record-breaking return to the Red Devils.

Pogba admitted during the international break that this period was his most difficult in his career.

And Marchisio has asked the France international to rejoin the Turin giants and rediscover his form again.

Marchisio whose career has been blighted with injuries replied to a tweet Pogba saying:

"Please @paulpogba come to @juventusfc... you will be happy again - me too."

The 26-year-old has started five of 12 matches under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scoring just once in the EFL Cup and providing an assist against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

Pogba was not in United's starting line up in their win over Everton at Goodison Park but played just two full 90 minutes in the losses to Tottenham and Arsenal.
