A Nigerian lady identified as Chisara Agoha has sparked a conversation on Twitter after she shared a story of how she made her husband change his land ownership documents to her name if he wanted to remain married.
The African society has been known to treat women in a certain way different from how they treat men and she based her story on trying to show what it looked like if men were treated the same way.
According to Chisara, her husband had a landed property before she married him and she woke him up one night to tell him that since they were now married, he should change the ownership to her name as the head of the house.

She continued that as a woman and the head of the home, the property he acquired before he married her should be in her name to show commitment.
Chisara said when he was single, he was free to do anything but not anymore now that they were married.
The husband replied that acquiring the land was the only thing he achieved when he was single and she said that a man had no business buying assets knowing that he would get married someday.
Chisara added that she gave her husband an ultimatum to fulfil her wish or the marriage would be over.
