Boko Haram terrorists killed in Sambisa by Nigerian troops

- Scores of Boko Haram terrorists have been killed by the Nigerian troops of Operation Lafiya Dole, according to John Enenche

A major onslaught has been launched against the Boko Haram terrorists in Borno state after men of the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation Lafiya Dole inflicted heavy casualties on them.

According to a statement released by Major-General John Enenche, the defence media operations coordinator, on Monday, November 16, the terrorists were neutralised, thanks to multiple airstrikes executed by the Nigerian troops.

Enenche revealed that the attack, which was carried out on Saturday, November 14, in the Gobara and the Sambisa ‘S’ region, saw the logistics of terrorists also destroyed.

He said several Boko Haram terrorists were detected under the dense vegetation of the locations, prompting the NAF jets to take turns in attacking the targets which eventually led to the neutralisation of some of the terrorists.

Enenche said the Nigerian military is committed to ending the security challenges faced by the country and called for collective supports in the fight against the terrorists and some criminal element putting the country's peace on the verge of destruction and ruins.

Meanwhile, in continuation of its onslaught on terrorism and other sundry crime, the Nigerian troop recorded another emphatic victory by destroying the hideout of the Boko Haram terrorists in Borno state.

The successful operation led to the destruction of several camps and hideouts located at Tunbun Gini, Tunbun Nbororo, Tunbun Kayoma, Tunbun Kaza, Tunbun Fulani at the fringes of Lake Chad in Kukawa local government area of Borno state.

In a related development, Legit.ng reported that about four men suspected to be arm suppliers to Boko Haram terrorists were killed by operatives of the Niger Republic army.

The suspected terrorists, who were said to be Libyans, were busted and annihilated on Sunday, August 9, on their way to northeast Nigeria.

According to media sources, Nigerien forces intercepted the arms suppliers before reaching the border that leads to Nigeria.
