- Emerson Palmieri has struggled to break into the Chelsea starting line-ups
- The 26-year-old who joined the Blues in 2018 has managed just appearances
- Chelsea are reportedly considering loaning the Italian to Napoli
Chelsea are desperate in cutting their salary scale and have contacted Italian club Napoli over the possibility of a loan deal for Italian midfielder Emerson Palmieri.
Italian outlet Repubblica via SunSport are claiming that the 26-year-old star is set for a loan spell at the Naples outfit joining Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Emerson’s future at the Stamford Bridge club remains in doubt as he is yet to make an appearance for the Blues since the arrival of Ben Chilwell from Leicester last summer.
And boss Frank Lampard won’t mind sending him to Napoli on loan and if possible, they will further make the deal permanent with the Serie A club.
Since joining Chelsea from Roma in January 2018 for £17.5m, Emerson has only managed to feature in 59 matches as he struggled for starting shirts under Antonio Conte, Maurizio Sarri and Frank Lampard.
Reports claim Emerson is one of five players Lampard wants to sell as he raises funds for West Ham’s Declan Rice.
The two stars have formed part of Frank Lampard's new-look Chelsea following a summer spree that saw the club spend over £200million to recruit new players.
Ziyech had a somewhat delayed start to the campaign following an injury sustained during a pre-season friendly clash but he has improved tremendously.
However, Legit.ng earlier reported that Dayot Upamecano has become a toast of several clubs as Liverpool have now joined Manchester United in the race to sign the RB Leipzig defender.
It was gathered that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has now identified the player as a major target ahead of the January transfer window.
A wave of injury problems have plunged the Reds into major crisis and with the recent serious case of Joe Gomez while on international duty with England, Klopp is left with no choice than to hunt for another defender.
