- Cristiano Ronaldo’s current contract with Juventus runs until the summer of 2022
- The Portuguese striker has been heavily linked away from the Italian club
- Reports have it that the former Real Madrid striker is not considering a move
Cristiano Ronaldo has been heavily linked away from Italian club Juventus but reports say the 35-year-old striker has no intentions to dump the Old Lady.
Reports from Italy claim that the Italian giants are desperate in getting the striker’s salary off their wage bill with Manchester United ready to make a move.
Ronaldo currently earns a staggering £28 million-per-year, but Juventus are now hit with financial problems due to the pandemic.
French champions PSG are also said to be lurking around to activate a deal for the Portuguese after the club’s sporting director Leonardo refused to rule out a contract for the multiple Ballon d’Or winner.
Spanish outlet AS, as cited in SPORTbible, are claiming that Ronaldo is prepared to see off his existing contract at Juventus which runs until 2022.
When asked about the possibility of signing the former Real Madrid man, Leonardo replied:
"Today in football, we do not know what will happen.
"Maybe tomorrow Cristiano Ronaldo wakes up and says I want to go play elsewhere.
"Who can buy him? It's a closed circle. PSG enters this circle. Usually, it is about opportunities, situations.
"The transfer window, we have to prepare for it and that's what we do. We have our priorities, our lists, but something unforeseen can happen."
An earlier report report had suggested that the Portuguese star will likely return to Manchester United because of arch rival Lionel Messi.
Messi is very much likely to leave Catalan Club Barcelona as he is already in the final year of his existing contract with the Spanish outfit.
According to the report, CR7 would likely opt to join Manchester United for him and Messi to continue their rivalry.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that PSG are also on the trail of Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos as latest reports have it that the Parisians are prepared to offer the player whatever he wants.
The 34-year-old is reportedly interested in a fresh two year extension of his deal, but Los Blancos are not prepared to change their one-year extension for over-30s policy.
Leonardo has reportedly identified Ramos as the club’s major target for January, but they will only hope Ramos decides to end his 15 year reign with the Spanish champion.
