A first class graduate identified as Iqmat Olapade has said it is not the end of the world if people do not achieve such academic feat.

In an interview with Legit TV, the accounting graduate from Redeemers University, Osun state, said she was able to achieve such a stellar grade because she devoted her time to her studies.

According to her, she did not have a boyfriend while in school but she would have still graduated with a first class even if she did.

She said her family members encouraged her to graduate with a first class by citing examples of other relatives that achieved such feat.

Iqmat, who graduated with a 4.7 CGPA, said she spent most of her day in the library to read, adding that God helped her through her journey in school.

The young lady said she had a social life in school. According to her, she was involved in departmental activities.

She said:

"There is no short cut to success. It requires you to do different things for you to succeed. For me personally, I will say hard work, determination."
