A couple who met in the courtroom has shared their dating journey that led to a wonderful marriage.
Ashraf Ashaba and Happy Kyomuhangi tied the knot back in December 2018 after dating for close to a year and a half.
Happy, a magistrate in Uganda, was first admired by Ashaba, a journalist, who was covering a story in her courtroom and strived to get her number from the security team, according to My Wedding UG.

The journalist cheekily invited Happy for an interview and when the two finally sat down, he knew she was the one.
"During the interview, I admired her soft and sweet voice. I, therefore, kept in touch with calls and WhatsApp. I started out as a friend but with interests beyond," Ashaba said.

Happy, as you would expect, had a different view of how she started noticing Ashaba. She said she bumped into him during their days at Islamic University in Uganda, where she worked as a part-time teacher and he also used to work at the same institution.
Ashaba said he fell for her because of her beauty and hardworking qualities while Happy noted he was charming, sincere plus God-fearing.

Happy was also smitten after Ashaba showed up with beautiful flowers during one of their dates, saying she loved flowers and this made her feel they were on to something.

"After several coffee dates he always sang for me love songs, told me nice love stories for a long period and that is how I fell for him. He became more attractive, caring and loving," she noted.
Ashaba later on proposed in the presence of a few family members and in August 2018 they had their traditional wedding in Katabi, Entebbe.
