Nigerian man commends AC repairer who returned money meant to change compressor

- An engineer simply identified as Abdullahi has been commended on social media by one of his clients, Samson Oyenekan

- Oyenekan narrated how the engineer returned his N12,000 meant to replace an air conditioner compressor he thought was bad

- Abdullahi realised that the compressor only had a minor relay problem and fixed it, after which he returned the N12,000 to his client

A Nigerian man identified as Samson Oyenekan has taken to social media to commend his engineer who repairs air conditioners and refrigerators for his honesty.

Oyenekan said the engineer named Abdullahi returned the money he gave him to replace the compressor of his air conditioner he thought was bad.

According to Oyenekan, it turned out that the compressor only had a minor relay problem which Abdullahi fixed it and returned the N12,000 he was given to replace it.

He disclosed that the honest engineer fixed the relay problem with just N500.

Oyenekan noted that he would not know if the engineer had told him he had changed the compressor, adding that he (Oyenekan) would have fallen for the temptation of keeping the N12,000 if he was Abdullahi.

He wrote:

"ABDULLAHI could've told me he had bought the compressor, I won't know. And the truth be say, even if na me, I for fall yakata for dis kain temptation.
"With people like Abdullahi, I believe there's indeed hope for a New Nigeria."

Oyenekan called on Nigerians to patronise the engineer due to his honesty.
