- Christian Pulisic is expected to be out of action for Chelsea for some games
- This comes after the American got injured before the Blues' clash against Burnley
- Chelsea are occupying seventh position on the Premier League standings
Premier League giants Chelsea have been hit with a big blow following the injury sustained by American attacking midfielder Christian Pulisic who is now expected to miss some games.
Frank Lampard who is the gaffer of the Blues confirmed that Pulisic sustained hamstring injury before their Premier League game against Burnley which they won 3-0.
The injury was said to have been discovered during the pre-match warm-up before the American was later replaced with Timo Werner who was also impressive in the encounter.
According to the latest report on UK Sun, Chelsea handler Lampard explained that the injury Christian Pulisic sustained is not that serious.
"He’s played three games, we’ve tried to manage him in the week and it’s a small feeling in his hamstring so we’ll have to see how he is over the next 24 hours.
"It’s a minor feeling that he had but definitely not right to go into 90 minutes of a game with that.
"Hopefully it’s short term, we’re talking weeks."
Last season, Pulisic was also unable to play many games for Chelsea in the Premier League because of the injury he had.
Pulisic joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in 2019 and has played 28 games so far for the Blues with 28 games scoring nine goals.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are currently occupying seventh position on the Premier League table with 12 points after seven games played so far.
