- Man United v Arsenal has a fiery history and both clubs will slug it out again in the Premier League this weekend
- Arteta is however sweating on fitness of some of his stars as David Luiz, Rob Holding and Calum Chambers are set to miss the game
- Arsenal are likely going to start with a 4-3-3 formation for the game
Mikel Arteta is facing serious defensive crisis ahead of his team’s trip to Man United after Shkodran Mustafi picked up a knock and was substituted in Arsenal’s 3-0 Europa League win over Dundalk.
The Gunners are already without David Luiz, Rob Holding and Calum Chambers going into the game at Old Trafford and Arteta will now be sweating on Mustafi’s fitness.
However, the Spaniard remains hopeful the German will be fit to play and could partner Gabriel Magalhaes in the heart of defence.
Ahead of the game at Old Trafford, Arteta is likely going to start with his favoured 4-3-3 formation, The Sun reports.
Bernd Leno is set to start in goal for Arsenal while Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney are likely going to nail the full-back spots.
And, with very few options thanks to injuries, Mustafi is almost certain to start alongside Gabriel in the central back positions.
Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey is expected to start at the heart of midfield and could be joined by Dani Ceballos and Granit Xhaka.
Willian is most likely to start in left flank of the attacking trio while Nicolas Pepe will likely be given the chance to continue his decent form from the right-wing.
Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to return to his favoured central striker position.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Mikel Arteta has stated that he did his very best to include embattled Mesut Ozil in his Arsenal squad for the season, but his exclusion was in the best interest of the club.
The German midfielder has not played for the club since March 7 and has not even made a matchday list this season.
The 32-year-old has also been left out of the Premier League and Europa League squad for the season and it looks like the player has already played his final game for the Gunners.
