Folarin Balogun was brought-on for Arsenal in the 74th minute against Dundalk in the Europa League on Thursday night, October 29, replacing impressive Eddie Nketiah.
With the Gunners leading 3-0, Mikel Arteta substituted Nketiah for the 19-year-old Anglo-Nigerian who also gave a good account for himself in his 16 minutes of action.
He has expressed delight featuring for the Arsenal senior team, saying it feels great as he went on to thank the club manager Mikel Arteta.
He told arsenal.com and cited in GOAL:
“Yeah it feels great. It’s a moment I have been waiting for for a little while so to finally get it feels great. I can only thank Mikel and the staff for this opportunity and I look forward to doing it more often.
“It’s been tough, I’ve been at a few other clubs doing trials and stuff like that, but I’ve been working my way through the academy and I think as time has gone on I’ve become a better player.
"I think that’s shown in my performances and I think it’s good now to get the recognition that my performances deserve.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal are looking to bring another midfielder to the Emirates Stadium and now the Gunners are considering a cheaper bid for Dominik Szoboszlai as a possible alternative for Lyon ace Houssem Aouar.
Mikel Arteta’s men are looking at a possibility of bringing the 20-year-old to the Premier League in January.

The Gunners failed in their bid to sign Lyon star Houssem Aouar during the summer transfer window and now the Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Szoboszlai has caught their eye.
