Arsenal are looking to bring another midfielder to the Emirates Stadium and now the Gunners are considering a cheaper bid for Dominik Szoboszlai as a possible alternative for Lyon ace Houssem Aouar.

Mikel Arteta’s men are looking at a possibility of bringing the 20-year-old to the Premier League in January according to reports from SunSport.

The Gunners failed in their bid to sign Lyon star Houssem Aouar during the summer transfer window and now the Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Szoboszlai has caught their eye.

He has so far impressed for the Austrian champions scoring 22 goals and making 31 assists for the club since he joined.

Sports journalist and football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims Arsenal are monitoring the player’s progress.

He said on his Here We Go podcast:

"The situation is that Arsenal (have been) following Szoboszlai [for] years. So, what we [can] say is that Arsenal’s scouting (department) are looking at the player. At the moment, there are no negotiations.
"There are many clubs interested – he was one step away from joining AC Milan last summer. We will see [in] January, we will see next summer, what [Salzburg] will decide to do – because Szoboszlai wants to play in a top league.
"He’s in love with the Premier League, so let’s see what Arsenal will decide. What I’m told is that Arsenal are looking to sign this kind of player."

Meanwhile, Ryan Gravenberch is being chased by several clubs including Barcelona and Juventus and now reports say Manchester United have also enter the race for the youngster.

The 18-year-old has been dubbed the ‘new Paul Pogba’ following his style of play, but reports say Ajax are unwilling to let go. Gravenberch who just signed a fresh three-year contract at the Dutch club is in high demand from several big European clubs.

And Legit.ng earlier reported that Ozan Kabak could come in a replacement for injured Virgil van Dijk as Liverpool contact German club Schalke for a possible signing of the defender for an initial £20million.

The 20-year-old has impressed Jurgen Klopp and the Liverpool boss is hoping to bringing the centre-back to Anfield in January.

It was gathered that the reigning Premier League champions have officially notified the German club after confirming their defender Van Dijk who recently suffered a torn cruciate ligament will likely be out of action for the entire season.
