Nigerian man Adebayo bags his PhD, appreciates God, wife

- A Nigerian man, Damilola Adebayo, has finally finished the PhD programme that he started in 2016

- The new doctorate degree holder thanked God, his wife, and friends for supporting him while he was studying at the University of Cambridge

A Nigerian man Damilola Adebayo has joined the league of Nigerians who have succeeded internationally in academia.

On Saturday, October 24, the man bagged his doctorate degree from the University of Cambridge, UK, a programme he started in 2016.

Adebayo said that when he enrolled for his PhD four years ago, he never thought that he would be graduating at a pandemic period.

He appreciated God for a smooth journey. He also thanked his wife, Eyitayo Victoria Adebayo, for how her companionship really helped him.

Adebayo said that his PhD research critically looked at the “history of electrification in Southern Nigeria from 1898 to 1972”.

As at the time of writing this report, his post on LinkedIn has over 1,500 comments and more than 12,000 likes.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that another young Nigerian man, Jake Okechukwu Effoduh, made it big as he became a very important scholar.

The man said that he is very glad to let everyone know that he is now a Queen Elizabeth Scholar (QES).

Added to that big feat, he is also an Advanced Scholars Fellow with the centre for law, technology, and society at the University of Ottawa, Canada.
