Salihu Tanko-Yakasai, the suspended special adviser on media to the governor of Kano state has been reinstated by Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
News of Yakasai's reinstatement was revealed in a tweet via the official Twitter account of the Kano state government on Wednesday, October 28.
Two weeks ago, the governor's media aide was suspended by Ganduje over comments he made on social media against President Muhammadu Buhari's administration following the #EndSARS protests against police brutality.
In a tweet, Yakkasi urged people to never lose their voice and speak up against injustice, and inaction.

The tweet reads:
“H.E Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR has approved the reinstatement of his Special Adviser on Media, Salihu Tanko Yakasai from his suspension.”
Yakasai in reaction to his reinstatement took to his Twitter handle @dawisu on Thursday, October 29, rejoiced over the development.
The governor's aide went on to appreciate his friends, family and all those who showed solidarity with him.
Yakasai tweet reads:
"I wish to thank each and every one that reached out to me, or sent messages of goodwill over my reinstatement as Special Adviser Media to H.E @GovUmarGanduje, after my 2wks suspension. I am grateful to you all for your support and prayers. Thank you so much. #ZeroTension.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the Kano state governor alleged that the enemies of Nigeria hijacked the EndSARS protests to disintegrate the country.
Ganduje made the allegation on Tuesday, October 27 when he spoke with reporters on how to keep Nigeria together.
He stated that most officials initially supported the EndSARS protest which was against police brutality.
The governor, however, claimed that the enemies of Nigeria decided to take advantage of the situation to disintegrate the country.
