Reality TV star and beauty mogul, Kim Kardashian, appears to have ruffled some feathers with her extravagant birthday vacation.

Kim spent her 40th birthday on a private island with family and friends, sharing photos of the luxurious trip on social media.
She also shared a lengthy message saying she felt humbled and blessed adding these difficult times reminded her of what truly mattered.
The reality star said before COVID-19, she did not appreciate the luxury of family trips but then had to take multiple health screens and ask people to quarantine for two weeks before the trip.

Kim noted the trip reminded her of how privileged her life was remembering to add the #Thisis40 hashtag at the end.
"After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is," she wrote.
Many have since taken offense with her use of the words 'humble' and 'simple luxury' saying there was nothing modest about her showing off what her money could buy as many continue to hurt from the deadly virus.
There were however others who praised her for being honest and giving her family time to safely enjoy each other's company.
