Chelsea legend Mark Schwarzer has stated emphatically that the Blues' chiefs made a good decision to sign Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Rennes.
The Premier League giants got tired of Kepa Arrizbalaga's lackluster performances and they had to spend another money to lure Mendy to Stamford Bridge.
Mark Schwarzer who was one of the best goalkeepers during his time in the Premier League explained that Petr Cech was even better in training than Kepa Arrizabalaga and Caballero.
Cech retired from football at the end of last two seasons playing his last game for Arsenal which ended in a defeat against Chelsea in the Europa League.
The 38-year-old then returned to Chelsea as a staff and has been helping the coaching and technical crew since then.
According to the report on UK Sun, Mark explained that Petr Cech was performing excellently well than Kepa and Willy in training.
“From my understanding, he was better than the Chelsea keepers.
"But this was before Mendy arrived at the club. He was performing and training better than the Chelsea keepers."
Mark Schwarzer also explained that Cech is still strong enough to play competitive football despite recently retired from the round leather game.
Meanwhile, Mendy was in brilliant form for Chelsea in their last game against Manchester United in which he denied Marcus Rashford the winner.

Antonio Rudiger has not played any match for Chelsea this season in the Premier League and there have been concerns for him to leave Stamford Bridge next year January.
French champions Paris-Saint-Germain and Tottenham are the two clubs who have been linked with the possibility of signing Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea.
The report added that Antonio Rudiger has been assured by Chelsea handler Lampard that he will be getting regular playing time going forward.
Rudiger will now have to convince the Englishman in training that he is worthy is going back into the first team as Zouma and Thiago Silva are currently holding the two central positions.
