Isak Bergmann Johannesson is on the radar of Premier League clubs Manchester United and Liverpool as both teams have entered a race to sign the 17-year-old prospect.

The Icelandic whizkid has been in sublime form this season which has generated waves of positive reviews as he is being poached by a number of clubs.

It was gathered that Johannesson is the son of Joey Gudjonsson - a former Aston Villa, Wolves, Leicester, Burnley and Huddersfield midfielder who was born in Sutton Coldfield.

SunSport claim that Liverpool scout Mads Jorgensen monitored the youngster’s performance in his club's Norrkoping's 2-2 draw with AIK on Monday, according to Expressen.

Another club on the trail of the teenage winger is Italian side Juventus, and commenting on receiving interests from several clubs, Norrkoping chief scout Stig Torbjornsen said:

"There has been a lot of interest in Bergmann Johannesson. It's no secret that clubs are chasing him.
"Liverpool are one of the clubs, and there are ten others as well. The best clubs in Europe have been here for him.
"It's hard to say if we can keep him in January. A club with a lot of money could come along now or in six months."
