Cristiano Ronaldo who plays for Italian champions Juventus is yet to recover from COVID-19 and the five-time Ballon d'Or winner won't face Barcelona in Champions League.
This latest development will not be a good one for Juventus and Barcelona fans who have been waiting to see Cristiano Ronaldo facing long term rival Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have been rivals for the past 10 years and these two players have between them 11 Ballon d'Or awards with the Argentine possessing 6 while the Portuguese has 5.
They played against each other for nine years in the Spanish La Liga before Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid for a big move to Juventus.

And after two terms that Ronaldo has been playing for Juventus, he has not met Lionel Messi in any competitive football game.
According to the information disseminated by Sky Sports, Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive again for COVID-19 which ruled him out of the Champions League clash.
Ronaldo contracted Coronavirus while on international duty with Portugal and he immediately left the camp and travelled back to Italy where he has been on self-isolation.
The report added that his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez and children all tested negative and Cristiano Ronaldo has been sleeping separately from them.
The former Manchester United star will now hope to make his return for Juventus in the Serie A game against Spezia on November 1.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how reigning French champions Paris-Saint-Germain are ready to go for the signing of Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo next summer as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
Kylian Mbappe has for the past two seasons been a target for Real Madrid, and Los Blancos have been favoured to likely get the deal done at the end of the current League campaign.
PSG chiefs feel that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner would be the best man to replace Mbappe.
Before the start of the ongoing League season in Europe, Cristiano Ronaldo was also linked with a move to PSG, but the ex-Manchester United star decided to stay in Turin.
And for his first two seasons with Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo has won the League title even though he hasn't won the Champions League.
The report added that Journalist Oriol Domenech has claimed that Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid have agreed on personal terms.
