At last, Nigerians have been given an idea of when the country's national carrier will be in operation as the ministry of aviation has given a timeline for its delivery.
On Tuesday, October 27, the minister, Hadi Sirika, informed journalists that Nigeria Air will be delivered before 2023.
Sirika made this after the 2021 budget defence for his ministry at the floor of the Senate which took place on Tuesday, Daily Trust reports.

The minister disclosed the carrier is part of the ministry's roadmap.

Speaking on what has been done so far in this regard, Sirika said:
“We are on it. The transaction adviser has brought in the outline business case. It is being reviewed by ICRC.
“Soon after it finishes, it will go to FEC and it will be approved. We will not leave this government without having it in place.”
Meanwhile, the federal government had issued a schedule for the partial resumption of international flights, after months of suspension due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.
A tweet by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) on Saturday, September 5, showed that the flight schedule was signed by its director-general, Captain Musa Nuhu.
The aviation agency in the document dated September 4, stated that a maximum of 200 passengers per incoming flights would be allowed into the country.
It explained that the limitation was due to the limited number of approved incoming passengers at 1,280 per airport on a daily basis.
The schedule, which was addressed to all aviation stakeholders and foreign airline operators flying into the country, however, stated that there was no limit on the number of outgoing passengers from the country.
